Gloria Jean Mason

Gloria Jean Mason, August 22,1940-October 25, 2023. Gloria left us to join her one true love, Mike Mason; her son, Michael Mason Jr; and her parents, Cardwell and Sally Shellaby. Gloria is survived by her sons, Thomas Cardwell Barrows, and Stephen Mason along with daughters-in-law, Alexandra Barrows and Gwendolynn Mason; grandchildren, Thomas Barrows Jr., Tyler Mason, Caleb Mason, Nigel Mason, and Isiah Mason. Gloria had a passion for life that made everyone around her smile. Never afraid of conversation, Gloria liked everyone around her and by the time they were done talking to her they liked her also. What do you say about a woman who leaves the world with no enemies? If wealth is determined by how you treat people at the end of your life, then Gloria went to heaven a billionaire. Up until the day she died, she walked 5 miles per day on a treadmill while listening to Joel Olsteen, Joyce Meyers, or country gospel. An amazing athlete as a young woman, Gloria was a fantastic softball player, but she took the most pride in being a wife, a mother and a good person. Gloria stayed in phenomenal shape, and it is important to note that if you truly have to walk up the stairs to heaven, Gloria will have no problems at all. Her entire life she lived perfectly as a person, and she will be remembered by all as an amazing spirit who treated everyone the same no matter what their value was. She made everyone around her feel wealthy and she was a blessing to all who met her. How lucky is she now to have joined her husband of 57 years of marriage. She is smiling now again.
