Gloria Cuevas McCoy, born August 14, 1936 went to be with The Lord on February 3, 2021 at the age of 84 years. Born and raised in San Antonio, Texas she attended Brackenridge High School, class of ’54. She worked for several years at Orange Goose Loving Care center and was known by the children as “Ms. Gloria.” She retired from the daycare with over 20 years.
Gloria loved flowers, arts and crafts and collecting cookbooks. She was an extraordinary cook with a sweet tooth of her own. She spent her time watching her Novelas like “La Rosa de Guadalupe."
Gloria is preceded in death by her husband, James William McCoy and parents, Charles and Lillie Cuevas.
She is survived by her children, James Allen McCoy Jr, Joe Garza, Ruben Garza, Yvonne Schmitchel and husband Paul; grandchildren, Joseph, Roger, Joe Luis, Mark Anthony, Gloria A.; brother Richard Martinez and her beloved chihuahua, Chula.
