Gloria Ramos, an angel from above, entered this world on July 11, 1940. All her life she strived to lead her life through honesty, family and love. Her purpose and journey was to provide stability and a foundation to the many family members. She attended post graduate school and became a Certified Medical Assistant to not only share what she did for her family but to those less fortunate at Planned Parenthood, and in Long Term Care Centers. She always felt a sense of accomplishment to help others and especially those in need. As the oldest sibling of 10 Sisters and 4 Brothers she led in uncharted waters and provided a role model for those younger than her. Allowing them to visualize firsthand that anything was possible if you worked hard enough and just believe in yourself. Although she enjoyed being creative with her hobby of doing ceramics, it was always with the intention of giving her completed projects to someone who would enjoy them. When she played BINGO, she always hoped to win so she could help others. Her other many joys included gardening her rose bushes and just smiling watching her kids grow into adulthood while enjoying a cafecito and pan dulce discussing the many fond memories that only a family shares. Gloria was a very loving mother, sister, aunt, grandmother and so much more to so many members of the family, to her, family meant everything. She will dearly be missed and the love will never cease for all that she provided in this world. She went to rest, not as a final journey but rather to watch from above providing that guiding light. She is survived by all her family: brothers, sisters, extended family, friends, and her children- son John and 2 daughters Misty (Robert) & Patty (Arnold),
A visitation for Gloria will be held Thursday, August 29, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM at Trevino Funeral Home, 2525 Palo Alto Rd, San Antonio, TX 78211, followed by a religious ceremony at 7:30 PM. Services will conclude at the funeral home.
