Gregory James Gonzales

He was born on March 24, 1987, in San Antonio to George and Olivia Gonzales. He and his family moved to Kailua, Hawaii where they lived for over 14 years. Gregory graduated from Waipahu Community High School H.Y.C. Academy-class-04-121 in Honolulu.

In 2005, he and his family moved back to San Antonio and he attended San Antonio College. He was an active member in jui-jitsu, jogging, baseball and basketball. His passions were his pets, cooking, and the outdoors, such as snowboarding, but yet he longed to return to Hawaii. Gregory was much loved by all his family, and he loved them all in return.

Gregory was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Virginia T. and Gregorio R. Gonzales; his maternal grandfather, Jesse N. Puga; his aunt, Norma Puga; and cousin, Perren Puga.

He is survived by his mother and father, Olivia and George Gonzales; a brother, Christopher Gonzales; his maternal grandmother, Isabel Puga; uncle, Robert Puga, Sr. Adela; and aunts and uncles, Sylvia Ortega Eloy, Sr., Elsa Hickman Dr. Mark Hickman, Isabel McQuade, Belia Puga-Herrera Mario, and Yolanda Martinez Richard; and 14 cousins, Lena, Robert Jr., Linda, Eloy Jr., Matthew, Ryan, Melissa, Jacob, Natalie, Madelyn, Hanna, Alyssa, Adam and Alexandria.

Greg will be laid to rest at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, April 12, 2008, in Hill Country Memorial Gardens, 11700 Hwy 46 West, New Braunfels, Texas. For directions go to www.hcmgcemetery.com or call 830 904-7401. Casual attire is acceptable.
