

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Gregory Casares Herrera Jr., who left this world on March 16, 2025, in his hometown of San Antonio, Texas. Born on July 24, 1990, Gregory was a loving husband, son, brother, and friend who touched the lives of so many with his warmth, compassion, and unwavering positivity.
Gregory had a brilliant mind and an entrepreneurial spirit, always seeking new ways to grow and innovate. He earned three college degrees and went on to own and operate three businesses, demonstrating his passion for accounting, graphic design, and creative business ventures. A true visionary, he was always thinking ahead, finding ways to improve the world around him, and inspiring others to do the same.
Beyond his professional achievements, Gregory will be remembered for his generous heart. He never judged, always welcomed others with open arms, and had an incredible ability to make people smile no matter the circumstances. He believed in the good in people and always found a silver lining, no matter how difficult the situation. His dedication and work ethic were unmatched—he went above and beyond, even when it wasn’t expected or deserved, simply because that was who he was.
Gregory is survived by his loving wife, Andrea Herrera; his parents, Gregory Herrera Sr. and Cynthia Casares; his sister, Anissa Herrera; and his brothers, Jimmy Gonzales and Desmond Herrera. His memory will live on in the countless lives he touched and the legacy of hard work, kindness and love he leaves behind.
In honor of his giving nature, the family encourages acts of kindness in his memory.
A visitation for Gregory will be held Wednesday, March 26, 2025 from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel Trevino Funeral Home, 2525 Palo Alto Rd, San Antonio, TX 78211. A prayer service will occur Wednesday, March 26, 2025 at 7:00 PM . A funeral service will occur Thursday, March 27, 2025 starting at 11:00 AM at CityChurch San Antonio, 9431 Bandera Rd, San Antonio, TX 78250. A committal service will follow at Mission Park Funeral Chapels South, Cemeteries & Crematories, 1700 SE Military Dr, San Antonio, TX 78214.
