Guadalupe “Lupita” G. Berlanga was born in Monterrey, Mexico on July 23, 1922 and passed away in New Braunfels, TX on December 9, 2012 at the age of 90. She was the first lady glass blower in San Antonio and worked for the Comet Neon Sign Co. for 35 years. Lupita was also a member of the San Fernando Hijas de Maria. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gilbert F. Berlanga. Surviving are her daughters, Darlene E. Berlanga and husband, Paul Pace, Janine Waggoner and husband, Stan; grandchildren, Michael Allen Pace, Paige Elizabeth Waggoner, Brooke Erin Waggoner; and her brothers, Roberto Gonzalez and Perfecto Rodriguez and wife, Cecilia. Funeral services will be he held at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, December 12, 2012 in Sunset Funeral Home Chapel, with visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Ft.
