

She graduated from Southwest High School in 1953 and worked in the insurance industry for over 60 years. She loved her customers and helped them in any way she could. Guadalupe loved getting together with her family and friends. She loved meeting any friend for breakfast and coffee at any of her favorite coffee shops before she would head for work. She cared about her friendships and cherished them always. She loved music and dancing. She loved dressing up and looking her best. She enjoyed working in her yard and during the holidays she loved making her famous “Sock It To Me” Bundt cake and other assorted baked goodies.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Alfredo and Concepcion Gonzales; her sisters, Francisca Tober and Ascencion Matta; her nephews, Randy and Michael Gonzales; grandnephew and godson Jason Castillo. She is survived by her nieces, Linda (Danny) Castillo, Jeanne Gonzales Silva, Christina Tober and Valeria (Dan) Kvedoras; nephews Joel (Linda), Roger, Adolpho Jr, Adrian, Fabian (Kathy) Gonzales; Robert (Karen) and Ronnie Matta. She also leaves behind numerous grand nieces and nephews and great grand nieces and nephews. Her wit, charm and smile will be forever missed.
Special Thank You and appreciation to all the wonderful staff at Amedisys Hospice and Legend Oaks South Rehabilitation for their loving care and guidance over the last several months. A family Thank You to Ronnie Matta for being like a Guardian Angel every day and being there to talk, listen and remember as our Tia talked about what she saw and did on any day of her life.
The family will receive friends from 5:30-7:00pm, on Thursday, September 23, 2021, followed with a rosary at 7:00pm, at Porter Loring Mortuary, 1101 McCullough, San Antonio, Texas 78212. A funeral mass will be held on Friday, September 24, 2021, at 10:00 am, at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church, 11150 Macdona-Lacoste Rd, Atascosa, Tx 78002.
