Guadalupe V. Rangel

Guadalupe Villarreal Rangel was born in Del Rio, Texas on December 12, 1912 and went to heaven at age 98 on June 28, 2011. She graduated from San Felipe High School in Del Rio. Guadalupe is preceded in death by her husband of over 53 years, Zaragoza R. Rangel; her parents, Rumaldo and Herminia Sanchez Villarreal; brother, Rumaldo Villarreal Jr.; sister, Maria Villarreal; nephew, Raul Sifuentes; nieces, Elma “Mema” Saenz and Estella Sifuentes-Casanova; and grandson, Jesse Robert Zertuche. Guadalupe is survived by two sons and their wives, Joe C. and Rosie Zertuche and Fred A. and Oralia Rangel; six grandchildren, JoAnn Silva, DeeAnn Guajardo, Joe C. Zertuche Jr., Jacob Zertuche, Frederick Rangel and Derrick Rangel; 14 great grandchildren, Alex Silva III, Joseph Silva, Savannah Silva, Joshua Silva, Peter Guajardo and wife Angelica, Nathan Guajardo, Jonathan Guajardo, Celina Moreno and husband Benny, Joel Zertuche, Justin Zertuche, Jason Zertuche, Camille Zertuche, Jacob Zertuche Jr., and Jalen Zertuche; six great-great grandchildren, Alexander Silva, Felicity Silva-Bustos, Jayden Silva-Bustos, Peter Guajardo III, Dillon Guajardo and Benny Moreno Jr.; niece and best friend, Olivia “Olly” Arriaga; nephew, Robert Sifuentes and wife Blanca; and sister Arcadia Morin Casares. Visitation will be from 1:00 to 9:00 PM, Monday, July 4, 2011 at Sunset Northwest Funeral Chapel with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 PM. The funeral mass is 12:00 PM at St. Paul Catholic Church, 350 Sutton Drive, San Antonio. Interment will follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
