

With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Bill Gutierrez, who went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, October 31, 2023, in San Antonio, Texas. Born on June 27, 1957, in San Antonio, to Guillermo R. Gutierrez and Victoria Gutierrez, Bill's life was one of dedication, passion, and joy which touched the hearts of all who knew him.
Bill proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force from 1976 to 1978, embodying the values of duty and commitment. Following his service, he embarked on a distinguished career at San Antonio Aerospace, where he dedicated 30 years as an A&P Lead mechanic specializing in Avionics. His colleagues will remember him for his expertise, leadership, and the camaraderie he fostered.
A sports aficionado, Bill's enthusiasm for Texas Longhorn Football, the San Antonio Spurs, and the Dallas Cowboys was contagious. His love for music and his passion for playing the drums resonated in his life and those that were close with him .
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Guillermo and Victoria Gutierrez, and his sister, Ruth Rodriguez. His memory is cherished and will live on through his loving partner of 23 years, Tania Lopez; his son, William J. Gutierrez and wife Alicia Gutierrez; his sister, Silvia Beene; and his adored grandchildren, Cami Escimilla, Samara Escamilla, Delilah Escimilla, Natalie Gutierrez, Everett Gutierrez, Savannah Gutierrez, Viviana Gutierrez, and Katerina Gutierrez .
A viewing will be held on Wednesday, November 15, 2023, from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Porter Loring Mortuary North. The family will welcome friends and loved ones during this time, with a Funeral Service to follow. Father Mike Michie will officiate the services, which will be followed by full Military Honors, reflecting Bill's proud service to his country.
