Gwendolyn "Wendy" Alana Ortega, age 70, loving mother and adoring wife, passed away suddenly in the early morning hours of February 5, 2025. Wendy was born on September 3, 1954 in Winnebago, Nebraska while her father was active in the military. She shared a home with her parents and multiple siblings. Many years later, Wendy met the love of her life, Miguel in California and never looked back. Along with her two children, moving to Texas only seemed right and together they built a loving home and a successful landscaping business. To all who know her, Wendy was generous, compassionate and kind. Her infectious laugh was something to witness. Born tough, Wendy never let anyone get the best of her and would instantly tell you where to go and what to do with it. Becoming a grandmother was something she always dreamed about. In her free time, Wendy loved to watch her soaps, crime shows and take her weekly trips to the stores. She will be greatly missed by her family and close friends.
We know that we can't keep you, but we're happy knowing that the angels have finally got you back.
Goodbye to a wonderful woman and a beautiful mother.
Wendy is survived by her husband of 40 years Miguel, son Lance, multiple grandchildren, siblings Geoffrey Jr., Tanya and Christina along with numerous nieces, nephews and cherished friends. She is preceded in death by her parents Geoffrey Sr. and Lorraine Warren, brother Rick, brother Jim, son Christopher and son Thomas.
