She lived in Pearsall, TX through the fourth grade and then returned to San Antonio where she was a graduate of Alamo Heights High School. Hannah graduated from Baylor University in May of 2003 with a degree in Elementary Education despite her battle with brain cancer which was discovered in December of 2000.
Hannah's goal was to teach children; she instead, taught so many of us lessons in courage, honesty, determination and strength. Hannah taught us not to compromise or ever give up. She taught us how to be strong, and no matter who you are or what limitations you have, anything can be accomplished, as long as you work at it. Most of all, Hannah taught us how to live and how to love. In 24 short years, Hannah earned a place in the hearts of so many.
She is survived by her parents, Mary Beth and Kip; sisters, Kara Lee and Haley Beth; grandparents, Lukin and Ruth Gilliland all of San Antonio and Mary Beth and Delo Caspary of Rockport, TX.
Pallbearers, Lukin Gilliand Jr., John Gilliland, Delo Caspary III, Cass Caspary, Todd Caspary, Ashley Fischer, Laura Wirth, and John Lee.
Hannah and her family appreciate Dr. Warren Neeley and the 9th floor nurses and staff of Methodist Hospital.
