

Harold was born in San Antonio and was baptized in Travis Park Methodist Church. He was 96 years of age at time of death. Harold was a graduate of Brackenridge High School in 1943 and upon graduation joined the U.S. Navy and served in World War II as an Electrician's Mate on the island of Ulithi in the South Pacific. At the War's end he returned to San Antonio and obtained his Master’s degree in Economics from Trinity University. While in school he was employed part time as a surveyor at CPS and after graduation he began his career with CPS in the Economic Department. While employed at CPS he obtained his Law degree at St. Mary’s Law School and finished his career in the Legal Department.While working at CPS, Harold bought acreage near Seguin and with his own hands and labor built his home, a small frame house with a bass filled pond nearby. On occasion his fellow employees would come out for a "cook out" at his house. He enjoyed his life in the country.Harold was a bachelor and after retirement he enjoyed lots of freedom. He had a small boat that he enjoyed taking to the Coast and running it far down the intercostal Canal. He also was a Spurs fan and had season tickets. His three nephews looked forward to holidays in San Antonio and trips to a Spurs game.Harold is survived by his brother Jack Arnold, his nephews Jim Arnold, Mike Arnold, and Dr. Kent Arnold. and grandnieces Austria Arnold, Jennifer Arnold Gillis and grandnephew Jay Arnold.
