Harold J. Karnuth

Harold was born in Chicago on June 6, 1937. He was an active member and elder at Concordia Lutheran Church in San Antonio. Harold Graduated in 1959 from Northwestern University Chicago, IL., with a Degree in Physical Therapy. Harold served as the Department Manager at the Marion Joy Rehab Hospital in Wheaton, Illinois. In 1980, Harold moved to Stockton, California and served as Department Manager for St. Joseph Hospital Rehabilitation Unit. In 2003, he moved to San Antonio and worked at Regent Care Center as recently as June of 2010. In addition to a successful career, Harold was a passionate gardener, loved playing the piano and enjoyed spending time with his three granddaughters.

He was preceded in death by his son, Mark Harold Karnuth and sister, Christine Balzhiser.

Harold is survived by his wife of 50 years, Marilyn Karnuth; daughter, Debra Lynn Hegstrom and husband John; grandchildren, Laura Hegstrom, Sarah Hegstrom, and Isabel Karnuth; and brother, Donald Karnuth.

The family will receive friends from 3:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M., Sunday, September 26, 2010, at Porter Loring Mortuary North.
