

He was born on June 23, 1923 in Fargo, ND and graduated from Fargo Senior High School.
Harry was a WWII veteran having served in the U.S. Army in the European Theater. He graduated from Carleton College in Northfield, MN completing the Pre-Meteorology War Training Service course. After WWII, he served in the Army and Air Force Reserves as well as the North Dakota National Guard. He graduated from North Dakota Agricultural College North Dakota State University with a Bachelor of Science degree. He retired as a Lt. Col. In the USAF in 1974 after 25 years. Harry served in SAC at Offutt AFB, NE, Upper Heyford, England and the Pentagon. He also served as the Air Force Attach to Budapest Hungary. He married Delores Lee on December 31, 1948. After retiring from the USAF, he moved with his family to San Antonio where he has resided since.
He is survived by his wife of fifty-nine years, Delores; three children: Sharon Lee Durbon and her husband, Victor Durbon, Arthur David Paper and his wife, Jade Paper, and Bruce Michael Paper; two grandchildren, Andrea Durbon and Crystal Ann Paper; brother, Abraham Paper of CO; sister, Sara Platt of Fargo, ND; and numerous nieces and nephews.
