

Heather was born at Northeast Baptist Hospital to Dell & Richard M. Lopez Jr. on April 11th, 1981. She went to school in San Antonio. She married R.J. Hemberger on May 31st, 2014, at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church in LaCoste, Texas. She graduated from Incarnate Word College. She worked as KYC Operations Manager, AVP for Citibank for 10 years. Heather constantly surrounded herself with those she loved and those who loved her in return. She especially enjoyed spending time on the beautiful Texas coastline. Heather was a master Chef who felt most at home in her kitchen.
Heather is preceded in death by Richard M. Lopez Sr. (Grandfather), Clara Murlene Lopez (Grandmother), Trinidad Reta Palencia (Grandmother), Richard J. Hemberger Sr. (Father-in-Law) & Kelly Jean Hemberger (Sister-In-Law).
Heather is survived by Richard J. Hemberger Jr. (husband), daughters Kelly Ray Hemberger & Shelby Dell Hemberger, Richard M. Lopez III (Brother), Dell & Richard M. Lopez Jr. (Parents), Melissa Elizabeth Lopez (Sister-in-Law), Mary Lou Hemberger (Mother-in-law), Carrie Christine Krueger (Sister-in-Law), many aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews and nieces, in addition to numerous friends.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 15, 2026, at Sunset Memorial Park and Funeral Home. A Rosary will follow the visitation, beginning at 7:00 p.m.
A final viewing will take place on Monday, February 16, 2026, at 8:00 a.m. at Sunset Memorial Park and Funeral Home, followed by a procession to the funeral services.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, February 16, 2026, officiated by Father Jorge Haro of St. Luke Catholic Church, located at 4603 Manitou Drive, San Antonio, Texas 78228.
Heather’s final resting place will be at Sunset Memorial Park and Funeral Home at a later date. Arrangements are entrusted to Sunset Memorial Park and Funeral Home.
