Hector Martin Castillo

Hector was born in Eagle Pass, Texas to Manuel & Maria Del Carmen Castillo on February 7, 1966. He worked as an auto body and paint technician for various body shops for over 20 years, where he was known for his skill and dedication. He was a huge lover of dogs; he enjoyed the companionship in playing with them, teaching them tricks, and sharing in their joy. He also loved jamming out to 70’s classic rock n roll and could often be found cheering on his favorite basketball and football teams. Above all, Hector treasured time with his daughters the most, whether it was watching movies/TV shows together, enjoying junk food, or heading out for breakfast tacos, specifically barbacoa tacos with a cold Big Red; those moments are what brought him the greatest happiness.

Hector is preceded in death by his loving parents, Manuel & Maria Del Carmen.

Hector is survived by his children, Xenia Castillo & Coral Castillo, and former spouse, Cecilia Castillo; his brother, Jesse Castillo (wife, Sylvia Castillo); & nieces, Johanna Castillo (daughters, Nevaeh & Kirsten Vidal), Aaand Castillo, & Kaleena Castillo (sons, Kristian Martinez & Aiden Marin).

A visitation for Hector will be held Monday, August 25, 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Sunset North Funeral Home, 910 North Loop 1604 East, San Antonio, TX 78232.
