My sympathy is with you and all your family even though we've never met but we are all god's children. Here is a saying that I am sure he would of liked for all whom he was close to share with.
     "When I am gone, release me, let me go. You have so many things to see and do. You musn't tie yourself to me with tears. Be happy that we had so many years. I gave you my love. You can only guess how much you gave me in happiness. I thank you for the love you each have shown, but now it's time I traveled on alone. So grieve a while for me, if grieve you must. Then let your grief be comforted by trust. It's only a while that we must part, so bless the moments within your heart. I won't be far away, for life goes on. So if you need me, call and I will hear. Though you can't see or touch me, I'll be near..And if you listen with your heart, you'll hear all of my love around you soft and clear. Hector was a very dear Brother in the Lord - while I attended El Camino for a short period he never failed to greet me with loving kindness. Even though I attend another EFCA Church the times Pastor Hector ever visited either the church I attend or Camp Baranabus he never failed to acknowledge as a brother in the Lord. My heart and prayers for his Wife and children. I pray His congregation will continue on with the Lord's ministry.   Rolando Lugo

I had the opportunity to get to know Hector through the EFCA District events, particularly the Men's Retreats that I helped organize.  His heart for God and for people and his joy were an example to us all.  His family and church will be in our prayers.

Dear Josie and family,

We only met a few times, but I was impressed with your joy, zeal, and love for the Lord and each other. You and Hector have often been in my prayers over recent months, but I guess a transplant was not to be. I'm sure Hector is enjoying being with the Lord, but know the separation will be very hard for you, the children and the rest of the family. We grieve not as those who have no hope but we do grieve. Separation between loved ones was not God's original intent, but one day, He will restore everything as it should be and we have the hope that one day we will be reunited with Hector in heaven. May God comfort you at this time.

It's always difficult to lose a loving husband and I'm so sorry for your loss.  Please know that I will be praying for you.   I pray that Jesus give you the strength and courage to continue affecting your family and your community all for His glory.

I will always remember the laugh, the smile, and how much Hector loved God and his family.  He was a joy to be around and we will miss him.

Initially, I was planning on just making the five hour drive  on my own for the services,  but I want my whole family to be with me not only to honor Josie and the kids, but I want my 6th year old son to see what it looks like to have a life well lived, and to also see the honoring of a man who has had such a profound impact in my own life.   It is my hope and prayer that I could one day leave the kind of legacy that Hector has left.

My prayers are with his family at this time of sorrow. "Trust on the Lord with all your heart."

We will all greatly miss Hector.  He was a wonderful man of God who always brought joy, laughter and purpose wherever he went.
