Hector was my best friend when I was in my late teens in Chicago. He was like a brother to me. We worked together at the same office and often explored the city together, which he knew better than I. I'm very saddened that he passed away so young. He was also one of the major inspirations for me in my life-long interest in Spanish, travels and Latin America. The one thing I will always remember about Hector was his smile. Hector was a modern day Barnabus, a son of encouragement. He never let the negative circumstances change his attitude and attempted to help me do the same. His love and support sustained me through a rough time in my life. I will always be grateful to God for placing Hector in my life. His legacy of laughter and love continues through the lives of all the current and former children of CCS. My daughters will always cherish the memory of Hector.

I remember the way that he used to love to cook, especially for family and friends; his sense of humor was also uncanny, but my most valued memory of all was the way he loved his family. I truly am among the priviliged to have met him, and known him. He will be greatly missed.

I remember meeting Hector when I was still in Elementary School. Then, he was that nice man behind the counter who always said to eat my vegetables. I have had the privilege of working with Hector the past 9 months being able to get to know the selfless, sweet servant of God who still told me to eat my vegetables! He was a true example of Christian life. Hector left an imprint on my life that will never cease. He always had a story, a memory, a lesson, or a special ingredient to make it all taste just right. I can't imagine the kitchen without his bright smile and his cheery laugh. I will miss him terribly, but I am thankful for the time that God gave me to get to know His awesome child. One day we will meet again in heaven and I am sure that he will still be telling me to eat my vegetables...

Dear Tina and Family, I will be praying for the peace and comfort of our Lord to surround you. Hector's presence in the halls of CCS will be greatly missed by all. I will always remember him for his warm smile and the brightness that lit up his eyes. The joy of the Lord flowed freely in this wonderful man.

Dear Tina, Felicia and Andrew, my thoughts and prayers are with you all. I know the pain of losing loved ones but also the joy of knowing that they are safe in heaven with Our Lord and His Blessed Mother. May it comfort you to know that Hector is there as well, and now you all have your own special angel watching over you.

Our Paths crossed every Thursday at cornerstone School, I looked forward to hearing a story or two maybe three. Hector, what can I say, his passion for people, everybody that was lucky enough to have made contact with him was truly blessed. To me he was more then a customer, he was a friend, a mentor, he taught me so much in the little time that we had together, I will truly miss him

Words cannot express how much I will miss Hector. I am so greatful for the opportunity to have known him and I look forward to our next meeting. His generosity and dedication is what I will remember most.

May God be with you and comfort you in this difficult time. I am here for you if you need anything.

We send our love to the entire family, especially to Mrs. Guajardo. Mr.Hector will be remembered as a kind person who loved our children and served them with all his heart. We will miss him!
