

She was born in Louisville, KY and raised in Cave City, KY. She met her husband in high school in Louisville. Following high school, they were married. She joined her husband in his Air Force travels while raising the family.
Upon his retirement, they settled in San Antonio where she ran the office in the family business. She volunteered at Wilford Hall and the Oblate Fathers. Helen was a wicked card player, especially bridge, gin, and go fish and loved playing solitaire on the computer.
She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Cynthia Marie McCallum; sister, Mary Lou Clarke; and brother, Curtis Robert Clark.
She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Ewell McCallum; sons, Tim McCallum and wife Frankie; and Chris McCallum; daughters, Mary Hope McCallum and Roger Roberts, and Linda Marie Boehle and husband Bruce; two grandsons, Aaron and Ben; two brothers, Hank Clark and wife Margie, and Bill Clark and wife Kimberly; best friends, Maynette Smith, Eileen Devine, Bill and Barbara Hampton, Denis and Mary Heath; and several nieces and nephews.
Interment will be held in Kentucky at a later date.
