Henry Jarman (affectionately known as "Papo" by his family), 66, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and brother, victoriously went to be with the Lord on September 30, 2022. He entered this world on April 2, 1956, in Pico Rivera, California, born to Brice Jarman and Mary Esquivel. He was an incredible brother and loved his sister deeply. He was an all-city basketball player, setting records and leading his HS basketball team at South San High School. After high school, he went on to work several jobs leading him to Eckrich Meats. There, he served in many roles, eventually retiring after 30+ years of service. Henry was married to the love of his life, Olga, for 44 years. Together, they raised two beautiful children. Of course, his greatest pleasure in life were his grandchildren. In his retirement, you could find Henry taxiing kids around town, picking up treats they loved, and playing games with them at home. He was a competitor, and although he loved those kiddos, he always did his best to win whatever game it was they were playing. He loved jokes, he loved laughing, and more than anything, he loved having the joy of Jesus in his heart. His joy radiated to all who encountered him.
Henry was an amazing man known for the way that he selflessly loved everyone. Stopping by to visit Henry at home would always come with a hearty meal he provided. He loved to cook for his family and friends, and he never passed up an opportunity to smoke a good brisket. He dedicated his life to his family and Jesus.
He is survived by his loving wife, Olga, son and daughter, Gary and Jillian Bourn, son and daughter, Jeff and Gaby Jarman, and five grandchildren, Jeffrey, Kaylie, Jason, Jake, and Jordan.He is also survived by his sister, Martha Trevino (Terry), and several nieces and nephews. Henry was preceded in death by his father and his daughter.
A Celebration of Life service will take place at Henry’s home on Friday, October 7th.
