Robert and I met him in Abilene Christian university. We would hang out on weekends and had such good times. We will miss Henry and our visits in San Antonio. 'All I know of Mr Lara is that he loved his sons dearly & was a huge supporter in whatever sports they played. I would see him & mom at all the games, rain or shine! Then I was able to meet him at the first "Tee it Fore Henry" golf tourney. A very nice man with a big smile and jokes. What an inspiration! I could tell he was a fighter! My heart hurts for the family, however, I can only imagine that he can now enjoying his eternal heavenly life, pain free and full of joy. He is home with His/Our Heavenly Father. 'I knew Henry from a young age but we never really hung around the same circle of friends. Henry and I became close friends when he was diagnosed with this dreaded disease. We talked on the phone and chatted on Facebook, a few months later I was diagnosed with the same dreaded disease in a different form. At that point we became Warriors, battling the same with God beside us! We chatted often especially on those late nights when neither one of us could sleep because of the chemo. We shared stores and concerns but most of all, he was my inspiration! He knew my struggles because they were similar to his and we used to call each other, "our online support system" Your father, brother, son, uncle and friend was a great man here on earth and I'm certain that he will be at God's side supporting your family from heaven. I continue to keep your family and prayer and pray for peace and comfort for all.'
