Homer Hugh Kelly went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, May 1, 2013. Hugh was born January 31, 1924 in Yazoo County, Mississippi. Hugh was a Naval Veteran of WWII, where he served aboard aircraft carrier Shangri La’. He retired from Halliburton in 1983, where he worked as a Geologist for 30 years.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Letha Faye Kelly; his parents, Homer and Lillian Kelly; his brother, Dale Kelly; and his son, Ronald Lee Kelly. Left behind by his passing are his brother, Lamar Kelly; his sister, Elaine Stampley; and his sons, Jack Ray Kelly, A. Gene Kelly and Hugh Scott Kelly.
Hugh enjoyed fishing, working on his house and yard; and he will be remembered for his eagerness to help his neighbors with their yard work. He will be missed by all who knew him.
