

He proudly served his country in the European theater in the 44th Bombardment Group, the 47th Bombardment Group, U.S.A.F.E., 68th Bombardment Squadron Dutch East Indies from 1944-1945; in the Korean War, Okinawa, Korea, Japan with the 19th Bombardment Group and was also a Vietnam War veteran.
He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars; Disabled American Veterans, the 7th Seventh Bombardment Group Association Australia, India, China, Middle East; San Antonio Democratic League Man of the Year-1990; Los Compadres of San Antonio Missions Volunteer of the Year-1992; Bexar Democratic Party; and the Knights of Columbus Trustee Assembly 1102, Council 9702-Sir Knight, 4th Degree.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Simon Gonzalez and Porisria Andrade Gonzalez; loving wife, of 50 years, Viola Ayarzagortia Gonzalez; his son, Arthur Morin and his daughter, Diana Morgan.
Horace is survived by his daughter, Irma Moscarelli, who was his loving caregiver in the last years of his life; his great-nephew, Richard Gamboa and family; eleven grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews who were all blessed to have had such a strong, loving force in their life.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, November 18th from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. with a Rosary at 7:00 P.M. in the Porter Loring Chapel on McCullough.
