

Howard Harris Krantman age 55 of San Antonio, TX died Saturday, November 2, 2002. He continues to hold State Track and Field records at Deering High School in Portland, ME. He was an avid golfer and an active member of Congregation Agudas Achim, especially the Men's Club. Mr. Krantman was also a member of the Barshop Jewish Community Center. He was a man of his word and upheld his name. He was preceded in death by his parents Mark and Faye Krantman. He is survived by his wife, Dr. Teresa Boyd Krantman; daughter Kayla Fay Krantman of San Antonio; sister Joni Cohen and husband David; niece Elise Hiller and husband Marc and their children Zachary and Elliott; nephews Michael Cohen and wife Sharon all of Albany, NY and Jeffery Cohen of Rhode Island; cousins Brewster Branz and wife Muriel of Portland, ME; William Branz and wife Myra of San Antonio; and Jean Meyer of Portland, ME; mother-in-law Myrtle Boyd of Eden, TX; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law Ann Maxwell and husband Terry, Debbie Boyd, Melody Medders and husband Frankie, Robert Boyd and wife Edna, John Boyd and wife Mary, Robin Boyd and wife Rose; numerous other nieces and nephews and a special group of life long friends in Portland, ME. He held a special and fond relationship with their darling daughter, Kayla, who was inspired to write the following poem: To Dad here is a poem for you. Dads are there, when moms are not. You want a long drive just to talk, Dads are there. You just want to go to the park, Dads are there. You want to walk around the block, Dads are there. If you want to talk or need some help, I will be there. After all you do for me. You are there for me and I am there for you---Thanks. I love you, Kayla. . In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one's choice.
