He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Susan Asher; brothers, Sidney, Donald, Richard, Archie, Jimmy, Joe and Cecil; sister, Barbara Asher Hay.
Hugh is survived by his son, Michael P. Asher and wife, Sharon; daughters, Cindy Keating, Joanne Bath and husband, Bill; sisters, Lois A. Weidner, Jeanne Gombert and husband, Bobby, numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
He served in the U.S. Navy on the U.S.S. Mansfield. Hugh loved the Lord our Savior and was a member of Valley Hi Assembly of God Church.
Visitation will held Monday, February 8, 2010 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Porter Loring.
