Hugo was a loving husband, brother, son, and father who always put his family above all else and worked hard to provide them better opportunities. He had a prosperous career at HB Zachary where he worked on large construction projects that are still in use today. Hugo loved to reminisce and tell childhood stories about growing up on his family’s ranch and his experiences working in construction. He loved the simple pleasures in life like spending time with his family & friends, great food, and watching baseball games. Hugo had immense love for his family which fueled his fight in his final months giving him courage, resilience, and determination to be with them and that fierce devotion will always be the truest measure of the man he was.
Hugo was preceded in death by his parents, Lucio Blake and Thomasa Blake-Cisneros, son Hugo Eliud Blake, siblings Nora Gonzalez, Amabely Castillo, Mayra Blake, Edgar Blake, and Granddaughter Brenda Blake.
