Humberto R. Tamez

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Humberto R. Tamez, who departed this world on January 20, 2025. He was a devoted father, brother, grandfather, and friend whose love touched the lives of many.

Born on October 17, 1946, Humberto was a proud member of the American Legion. He was a gifted musician and songwriter, filling countless hearts with his melodies. When he wasn't making music, he found peace in fishing, enjoying the outdoors. Humberto was truly a jack of all trades, but his specialty was flooring, his skilled hands and hard work left a lasting mark in the homes of many.

Humberto now joins his beloved parents, Velia R. and Arturo G. Tamez, as well as his dear brothers, Arturo R. Tamez Jr., Felipe Hector R. Tamez, and Efrain R. Tamez, in eternal rest. Though our hearts ache with his absence, his spirit lives on.

He is survived by his loving children, Humberto Jr., Gregory, Luis, and Valerie; his adored grandchildren, Liz, Andy, Sarah, Mariah, Isabella, and Elliana; and his devoted sisters, Mary Alice and Grace. He also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, and dear friends who will forever hold his memory close.

A Memorial Service to honor and celebrate Humberto's life will be held on Saturday, February 22, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with a Rosary at 11:00 AM at Trevino Funeral Home, 226 Cupples Rd., San Antonio, TX 78237.

Though he has left this world, Humberto's love, laughter, and music will forever echo in the hearts of those who knew him. May he rest in eternal peace.
