'I am so very sorry for your loss Patty. Words fail me. Just so sorry. He is an amazing soul! Is . I feel he's still among and inspiring us!'

'Everyone here knew Tony, who he was as a man, friend, husband, father, grandfather and just a down to earth loving human being. You remember the last conversation, text or email you shared with him. Or the sound of his voice, the songs he sang and made his own, those incredible guitar riffs which sprang from his fingers, picking his guitars, forming that Wow in your mind. A gifted, talented musician who loved to make people happy. Tony loved to make people happy and he was good at it. He loved a corny joke, a play on words and he told a good story which held you spellbound. He was a videographer extraordinaire, he could take a series of photos, videos and audio to produce a film which left you in awe. He was also a excellent photographer. Tony was a hero from the jungles of Nam to the bridge where he sat watching the Sydney Opera House being built before his tour ended. He loved his Band of Brothers, the ones who speak today and the ones he lost along the way. Tony loved America, too, he was honored to serve and kept on believing in everything it stands for.
Now as we gather to share our memories of what Tony meant to each of us, offer our condolences to his well loved family and beautiful wife, Patty, we drift off to what he gave to each of us. How he embodied the ideal that life is a gift and its not the amount of breaths you take but the moments which take your breath away. Like his children growing into the beautiful adults they've become, his grandchildren playing sports and music and well on their own journeys to adulthood. To that favorite fishing spot near a bridge somewhere off the coast of Corpus and the way the wind and sun blew through Patty's hair as she held up the fish she caught. To what he missed most due to age and surgeries was the ability to dance across his living room floor. The miles which separated him from his buddies and the joy of raising a glass together again. 'I was in the same unit as Tony but left country before he arrived. I met and got to know Tony at my first reunion in Ohio. Tony took a train all the way from SA, Tx to Cin, OH to join his fellow First Cav brothers. He was a great man and American. RIP brother.'
