Irene Medina

Irene was preceded in death by her sons, Baby Cipriano Medina and Jose T. Medina; her parents Ignacio Medina and Pastora Corral; her brother, Cipriano Medina; sisters, Maria Emeteria Medina and Beatriz Medina Corral; and several aunts and uncles on both sides of her family. She is now reunited with her loved ones in an eternal embrace.

Irene was a woman of unwavering strength and resilience, a true matriarch who dedicated her life to lifting her family from the depths of poverty.

Irene’s legacy lives through her surviving daughter Magdalena M. O’Gwin, who along with her granddaughters Cynthia “Cyndi” Cavazos (Armando) and Serena O’Gwin-Miranda (Ron), carries forward the torch of love and strength that Irene lit. Irene’s impact extends to her great-grandchildren, Hannah, Diego, Joaquin, Marco, Sofia, and Adan, who will continue to feel her influence in the generations to come.

Irene faced the challenges of life with unparalleled perseverance, demonstrating an unyielding spirit that inspired everyone around her. Her life was a testament to the power of determination and the ability to overcome adversity. Through her sacrifices and hard work Irene not only succeeded in providing for her family but also became a beacon of hope and a source of inspiration for those who knew her.

As the Matriarch of her family, Irene’s love and guidance were the pillars that held everyone together; her wisdom, kindness, and selflessness created a strong foundation upon which her family thrived. Irene’s legacy is one of love, strength, and the unbreakable bonds forged through the trials of life.

In celebrating Irene’s life, let us remember the lessons imparted and the enduring love she shared. May her memory be a source of comfort and inspiration, reminding us to face life’s challenges with the same resilience and grace that she exemplified throughout her remarkable journey.
