

Iris Faye Robinson, age 96, passed away gently at home on Wednesday, May 3, 2023, in San Antonio, Texas. She was born on August 18, 1926, in Terrell, Texas to Clarence A. & Allie M. Stegall. Iris was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Felix T. Stoker, a U.S. Customs Officer; her second husband, Chaplain Col. Richard E. Robinson, U.S. Army Ret.; her son, Stephen W. Stoker; and granddaughter, Amber St. Claire. Iris is survived by her children, Sandra St. Claire and Kathryn Snow; six grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; her sister, Jean Goldman; and several nieces and nephews.
Iris was an active parent volunteer in her children’s schools many years ago. She was also a talented artist, painting nature scenes as well as still life, and flower gardening was a well-loved hobby. She served as the Activities Director at a nursing home and was also a Clinical Pastoral Counselor. Iris was a member of the Presbyterian Church, serving in a variety of leadership roles through the years. She was both a deeply spiritual woman as well as a fun-loving gal. In her active senior community, she played farkle and corn hole, and learned to shoot pool. She will be remembered for her generosity and kindness.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Sunday, May 14, 2023, at Porter Loring Mortuary, 1101 McCullough Ave, San Antonio, TX.
