Isabel Garcia Estrada

Isabel was born in Laredo, Texas February 11, 1937 into the family of L. Enrique and Eva Garcia. She was a middle child, one of nine children and moved to San Antonio at a young age. Her infant first-born daughter, Romelia Estrada, preceded her in death.

Isabel expressed an unwavering commitment to her family. She is survived by three of her siblings, Tomasita Flores, Eva DeLaZerda, and Noe Garcia. Additionally, seven daughters and seven sons in love, Liz and Michael Brophey, Kathi and Mark Amen, Debbie and Doug Sorenson, Cindy and Richard Menchaca, Gerri and Raul Solis, Bernie and Bobby Vittore, and Francie and Eliseo Rodriquez survive her. Also survived and blessed through her are her grandchildren, great grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.

Isabel was committed to her faith in Christ and the Church. She was dedicated as an infant through the sacrament of infant baptism and later reaffirmed her faith in believer's baptism as an adult. She led a life of love and devotion to her Savior, her family, and others over the course of her lifetime.

Isabel was a truly virtuous woman who found great joy and purpose in life in serving and loving others. In difficult times, she could stretch much from little and shared unselfishly. With her radiate smile and contagious laughter she was a unifying strength and the family encourager. Isabel was an incredible gift to her family and will be forever remembered in the hearts of all who knew her and uniquely in those who expressed cared for her in the recent days and years.
