Isidro Hernandez, Jr.

Reverend Isidro Hernandez, Jr., Pastor of Templo Puerta del Cielo, age 80, went to be with our Lord on Wednesday, January 3, 2024, in San Antonio, Texas. He had been a nurse since 1973. Later God called him into Christian Ministry in which he faithfully served since 1983. He served his Lord and Savior for forty years as President and Pastor of Templo (Church) Puerta del Cielo Inc. providing coverage to 16 congregations. He was preceded in death by his parents, Isidro Hernandez, Sr. and Juanita Herrera Hernandez and son, Fernando Paul Hernandez. Isidro is survived by his siblings, Mariebelle Casillas, Mary Ernestine Hernandez, Janie Hernandez, Marta Favela, Jesse Hernandez, Sr., Abel Hernandez, and Maria C. Hernandez; son, Armando Peter Hernandez (Cynthia); grandchildren, Kristopher Hernandez (Melissa), Clarissa B. De La Cruz (Jay), Luis Suarez (Yati), Cassandra S. Garcia (Jesse), Kody H. Hernandez (Cierra), Kayla E. Morales (Vince), and Karisia L. Hernandez (fiancée, Adon); seven great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, family, friends, and brothers and sisters in Christ. The family will receive guests from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Sunday, January 14, 2024, at Porter Loring Mortuary.
