

J.T. was born in St. Paul, MN on February 6, 1915. He graduated from the University of Minnesota in 1937. There he was a member of Beta Theta Pi. After graduation he worked for the Commercial Credit Corporation in De Moines, Iowa.
He joined the United States Army Air Corps in 1940. His basic and flight training were at Kelly Air Force Base.
JT served as a Flying Tiger in China during World War II where he received the Distinguished Flying Cross, Legion of Merit and Special Breast Order of Yun Hui.
As a highly decorated war hero and career military officer, he went on to serve as an Air Attach at the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad, Iraq, Intelligence Officer at the Pentagon and Base Commander at Seymour Johnson AFB in Goldsboro, NC. Other tours of duty included, Japan, Florida, California and Utah. He retired with the rank of full Colonel in 1968.
J.T. and his wife, Wallie were active in the Alamo Winnies and Covenant Presbyterian Church.
J.T. was known for his keen wit and charming personality. He also had a beautiful singing voice.
Survivors include his beloved wife, Gladys Wallie Bull; sons: Steven T. Bull and Joseph Denslow III; daughter- in-law: Mary Bull; grand- daughters: Ellen, Emily and Stephanie Bull, Angela and Michelle Denslow, Christine Traboulssi; grandson-in-law: Joseph Traboulssi; great granddaughters: Olivia and Grace Traboulssi, Sydney Denslow.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to The Salvation Army or Air Force Village One.
