

We are sad to announce that James "Jim" Wesley Cooley II, 67, of San Antonio, Texas, laid down his working tools on Saturday, July 2, 2022. He was born in Washington, DC, grew up in Cincinnati, Ohio, and attended the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. Following college graduation, Jim enlisted in the United States Navy, completed pilots training in Pensacola, Florida, and subsequently served as a Naval Supply Officer. He retired from KLD Associates in 2020 after 20 years of service as a Field Operations Manager. He achieved the degree of Master Mason and was active in Yuma Lodge #17. Jim was also an involved member of First Presbyterian Church of San Antonio and enjoyed volunteering in the church library. In his free time, Jim enjoyed playing golf and working out at the Jewish Community Center (JCC), and always tried to brighten someones day with a story or a joke. In 2011, he met his wife, Marcia, at the JCC. He enjoyed spending family time in San Antonio with Marcia, his stepdaughter, Christine, her husband, Justin, and their children, Cora and Lucy. Jim was predeceased by his parents, James and Beatrice Cooley, and is survived by his two sons, Keith and Travis, his sister, Elisa, his loving wife, Marcia, his stepdaughters, Christine and Nicole, and several grandchildren. Funeral services will be held in his honor on July 19, 2022. Viewing will begin at 12pm, with service to be held at 1pm at First Presbyterian Church of San Antonio. Interment will follow at 2:30pm at Fort Sam Houston Cemetery.
