James (Jim) Richard Johnson, age 79, of San Antonio, passed away on Monday, December 22, 2014. Jim attended college at Michigan State University.
He served his country for 20 years in the US Army including two tours in Vietnam before retiring in 1978. Upon his retirement from the military, he worked in various management roles at several different San Antonio companies.
He loved nothing more than sitting down with a big cigar and a Diet Pepsi to watch an Astros or Spurs game. His biggest passion in life was his four-legged friends. He took great care and pride to look after them, and any one of them fortunate enough to cross his path would find love for years to come.
Jim is preceded in death by his wife, Judith Johnson; parents, Phyllis and Levi Johnson and brother, Bob Johnson.
He is survived by his daughters, Celeste Blagg (Chris Gambill), and Charmaine Cassibba (Conrad); grandchildren, Sarah Woodruff, Lauren Buckley, Adam Blagg, and Aaron Blagg; sister-in-law, Donna Johnson; sister, Pat Dooley; and dear friend, Torino Herrera. Wiederhren
