I would like to express my condolences to the family of James Berg. He was my 1st cousin, I am the daughter of Margaret BergBernard Berg's sister.My family and I will keep you in our prayers.

I would like to express my sympathy to the family of James Berg. I am his second cousin daughter of Marie Burns Sapyta and granddaughter of Margaret Berg Mosko. I can remember as a kid when Uncle Barney had the Stamp shows at Woodmar Mall in Hammond. We still keep in touch with Ray and Lois and their kids. I am sorry I don't remember meeting him or his family,I will keep you all in my prayers. I too have twins, fraternal boys.God bless all of you.

A memory of my cousin Jim Berg, from Dyer, Indiana was playing with their fantastic trains...his brother Raymond and he had an elaborate train set up in their basement. They also raised worms...or had a large number they sold for those going fishing. They also sold fishing equipment: flies,sinkers and artifical worms. At the time I lived in Calumet City and each Sunday we would go to visit a near-by relative and get to play with our cousins. Aunt Helen had two boys; they were always a lot of fun. Uncle Barney had them doing lots of different things. My Mom and sister, Doris Jean and I moved back to Iowa. Jim and Ray went off to College and Jim joined the Air Force, in the midst of his career we lost track of him, yet through our parents knew he married and had a family. Our birthdays were close, mine on Dec. 1; his on Dec. 4 we were only two years apart. I am sorry to learn of his passing and send my sympathies to his wife and their family. Just a note to express sympathy to Helene and family with the loss of Jim, her spouse. I am another cousin from Iowa. His mother, Helen and my mother, Doris were sisters. I always enjoyed conversations with Jim. He taught me a great deal when I started at MFI and was always a fountain of knowledge when needed. His presence even when sleeping at his desk : was always felt. Always the humorist, he could maintain a good deal of levity in any situation, even if he was the one who was mad. He was a force to be reckoned with when it came to dealing with people, whether in sales or customer service. Because of that, his customers, and his friends alike, were/are loyal to him. We'll all miss you, Jim. You leave a legend behind that won't be soon forgotten. May you rest in peace among the great ones.
