James Raymond Snider

He was born July 9, 1939 in Chicago, Illinois to Frank and Elizabeth Snider. He grew up in Calumet City, Illinois. He honorably served in the United States Marine Corp for 4 years.

He resided in Portage, Indiana for 24 years before moving to Texas where he lived for 21 years. He was a member of the Moose Lodge for over 50 years. He was a steel worker, business owner and lifelong Chicago Cubs fan.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Elizabeth Snider; brother, Paul Snider; and brother, David Snider.

James is survived by his wife of 49 years, Yvonne Snider; son, Donald Snider & wife Lori; daughter, Donna Rae Klimczyk and husband, Johnny; son, Douglas Snider and wife, Tracy; grandson, J.D. Klimczyk and wife, Kim; granddaughters, Megan Klimczyk and Amber Klimczyk; grandson, Landon Snider; granddaughter, Kaylee Snider; grandson, Zachary Snider; granddaughter, Paige Snider; sister-in-law, Connie Snider; great-grandson, Colton Klimczyk.

The family will receive friends from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., Thursday, August 18, 2011, at Porter Loring Mortuary North.

Interment will follow at a later date in Holy Cross Cemetery.
