James Edward Stillwell

He is preceded in death by his parents, J.J. Stillwell and India Stillwell; his sister, Margret Keen and her husband, Robert Keen. He also was proceeded in death by his son, Todd Stillwell. Jim is survived by his wife of 61 years, Georgia Stillwell; and his son, J. Tobin Stillwell and wife, Karen.

He graduated from Lawrenceville High School. After attending Butler University he transferred to Texas Christian University and graduated in 1960, where he was a member of Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity.

After completing his military obligation, he worked for Liberty Mutual for five years and then worked for USAA until he retired. He loved living in Texas, hunting, fishing, working in his yard and loved Bluebell ice cream.

A Funeral Mass will take place on Wednesday, September 17, 2025, at 10:00 a.m., at St. Matthew Catholic Church, 10703 Wurzbach Rd, San Antonio, TX 78230, with a reception following in the parish hall. Interment will be held at Sunset Memorial Park. Officiating as pallbearers are: Dr. Stephen Ramirez, Mr. Gary Ramirez, Mr. B.J. Durham, Mr. David Rowsey, Mr. Lavoyger Gies, and Mr. Mark Cisneros.
