

She was born in Keytesville, Missouri, in 1906. She moved to Texas and spent her early years in San Antonio, graduating from Main Avenue High School in 1922. She attended the University of Texas and graduated with a degree of Bachelor of Science in 1926.
She taught High School Science for two years before marrying Raymond Brownie Byrd of Tampico, Mexico. His oil interest caused them to live and commute to Mexico for 40 years.
In 1940-41 she was called back to teach Science again in Alamo Heights High School during the War years.
During her years in San Antonio, she has always been a member of the First Presbyterian Church, and a member of the Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority, having founded the San Antonio Kappa Alumni Association in 1934, and was President in 1937 when they received their charter. She was a member of the Live Oak Garden Club. She was in the Coronation in 1927, as Maid of Honor to Anita Duetsch Dittmar.
Mr. Byrd preceded her in death in 1979. She later married Neill Boldrick and after 12 years of marriage, he preceded her in death on October 18, 1992. Jane was also preceded in death by her son, William Martin Byrd and step-son, Neill Boldrick, Jr.
She is survived by her nephews, Billy Cavender; Jimmy Cavender and his wife, Judy; Martin Harris and his wife, Jean; step-grandson, Samuel Neill Boldrick III and his wife, Laurie and John P. Boldrick and his wife, Liz; step-great-grandchildren, Jamie Boldrick, Paul Boldrick and Liz Boldrick.
