We were shocked and sorry to hear about Jay's passing. Our prayers and thoughts are with Lil and family. We are so sorry we could not make the services for Jay, but we were working in Louisiana and did not return home until the 6th. We knew Jay for only a short time, but we found him to always be upbeat, positive and he seemed to always look at the bright side of life. His spirit, faith and strength during his illness gave us both encouragement to face our small hurdles with confidence that all things happen for good reason. We will miss his guidance and counsel in the building of our new home, but his spirit will forever be present there and more importantly our hearts.

My husband and I heard the news last evening and were so saddened to learn of Jay's passing. We met Jay and his wife, Lil when looking to build our dream home. Upon meeting him we immediately felt special and liked and couldn't help but feel the same about him. That's the type of person he was, he had a sweet soul and made people feel special. Jay was my father and he was the greatest man that I have ever known in my life. I am so priveledged to say that I new him and that he was my dad. I was his baby and will charish the times we spent together in my heart. I only hope that I can follow in his shadow. I will carry him with me forever. He was my world!!

We are so sorry to ear about the loss of Jay. We had the priviledge of getting to know Jay while we were having our house built. He was one of the most caring, happy and funfilled people we had ever met. Our thoughts and prayers are with Lil and the rest of Jay's family.

Today we lost a good friend. Someone who was positive, cheerful, encouraging and gracious. You could complain about something negative to Jay, and next thing you know, he had turned it around into something positive. He could put the "salesman's spin" on things, and make you feel good about your misfortune. 
 We didn't get to know Jay very long, but I think if he were here now, he wouldn't miss the opportunity to tell us how great heaven is, and how he can't wait for us to join him there. Maybe he is getting some houses ready for us.... We love you and miss you Jay.
