

Jazmin Azucena Delgado, lovingly known as Jaz or Jazzy, was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, nurse, and friend whose life was marked by compassion, intelligence, and kindness. She was born on October 24, 1979, in Mexico, and she passed away on March 29, 2026, in San Antonio, Texas, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was 46 years old.
Jaz lived a life defined by service to others. She devoted her life to nursing, a profession she embraced with unwavering compassion, grace, and a deep commitment to the well-being of others. In every setting, she brought a steady presence and a genuine concern for the people in her care. She was known for her tireless dedication, always going the extra mile to make sure her patients felt seen, heard, and genuinely cared for. Nursing was not simply the work she did each day. Her educational journey reflected both her determination and unwavering commitment to excellence. She began her nursing studies at the University of the Incarnate Word, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She went on to complete her Master of Science in Nursing at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio and later pursued a Post Master Certificate in Acute Care with a focus in Pediatrics at Vanderbilt University. These accomplishments stand as a testament to her discipline, perseverance, and deep dedication to a profession she truly loved. Through her education and career, she built a legacy of compassion, professionalism, and care that touched countless lives.
Family remained at the center of Jaz’s life. She is lovingly survived by her husband, John Munguia, and her daughters, Destiny Delgado and Layla Munguia. Those who knew her best understood that her love for her family was deep, constant, and unmistakable. She found joy in the everyday moments that became cherished memories, and she carried her role as a wife and mother with pride and devotion. Her family was the heart of her world, and she poured her energy, warmth, and love into every moment she shared with them.
Beyond her work and family life, Jaz embraced the simple joys that made life meaningful. She loved traveling and treasured every moment spent with her family. She found happiness in dancing, staying active, and cooking, often bringing people together with her warmth, energy, and love. Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm, followed by the Rosary at 7:00 pm, on Sunday, April 12, 2026, at Porter Loring Mortuary, 1101 McCullough Ave, San Antonio, Texas.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, April 13, 2026, at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church, 1710 Clower, San Antonio, Texas.
