Thanksgiving just was not the same without you.  YES I weaseled out of having it at my house, as I do every year.  I love and miss you.

My Dear Beloved Friend Jean,

I will miss you tremendously! To Jean's family, my heart-felt sympathies are with you at this time of sorrow and loss. Be comforted because God has her beside him now as well as Jim and they are happy together again. Kathy let me know if you need anything. I am always here for you. I know the Brit Girls and the TBPA will surely miss you and you will always live within our hearts and minds. Let's treasure her memory.

Jean was the manager at the Summerwind Apartments for the entire period we owned it from 1995-2002.  Over that period, I came to know both Jean and her husband Jim and what great people they were. Jim would come by periodically and we would solve the world's problems over a cup of coffee (or two or three)!   

Jean was the consummate manager—she knew how to get along very well with people, while at the same time not allowing anybody (Employees and Owners included) to pull a “fast one” over her. It did not take long for me to realize just how lucky we Owners were to have her as Manager but, more importantly, how lucky I was to have her for a friend!

After we sold the apartments, we stayed in contact with Jean and invited her to our annual Christmas party which she last attended in 2009.  Brenda and I are deeply saddened by her passing, but consider ourselves oh so lucky to have been blessed by her involvement in our lives, both on a professional and personal basis.  She will be deeply missed by us all, but we shall have all the great memories of her forever.

As Jean would frequently say, “Take care Mate”!!
