

Jeanne Ellen Dodd, age 88, passed away on Friday, March 1, 2024, in San Antonio, Texas. She was born on January 6, 1936, in Boston, Massachusetts, to parents, Ellen (Dolan) and William Daly. She graduated from Mary Laboure College of Healthcare as a Registered Nurse. She soon after joined the Air Force and was stationed in Wiesbaden, Germany where she met and married her husband, John. She worked as an R.N. in Austin, Texas while John finished college. They decided to raise their growing family in Port Lavaca, Texas. The couple own several pharmacies over the years to include John Dodd Pharmacy in Port Lavaca, MD Pharmacies in Austin and Olmos Pharmacy in San Antonio. Jeanne dedicated her life to her family, her strong faith and service over the years. She ran a food pantry for numerous years and was a member of Jr. League in Port Lavaca. She was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Eucharistic minister for over 20 years and a member of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers and sisters, husband of 50 years, John L. Dodd, and her son, John D. Dodd. Jeanne is survived by her son Chris Dodd of Round Rock; daughter, Regina Grant and husband Neil of San Antonio; daughter, Maria Mock and husband James of McLean, VA; daughter Michelle Dodd and husband Mark Wallace of San Antonio; son, Phillip Dodd and wife Julie of Keller and daughter in law, Sandra Dodd(wife of John D.) of Austin; 19 beloved grandchildren; and many other extended family members and friends.

The family will receive friends from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 20, 2024, at Porter Loring Mortuary North.
