Jeannine Rose Wangler

She is preceded in death by her husband, Raymond B. Wangler, her sister Kathleen Boehme and her brothers Charles Jr., Tommy and David Laake.

Jeannine is the mother of eight children, born between 1950 and 1965, all of whom survive her. Diane Ingram (Hudson), David Wangler, Mary Styles (John) Joan Huey (J.D.), Margaret Meissner (David), Mark Wangler (Betty), Angela Overley (Stewart) and Eric Wangler, in addition to 13 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

She loved gardening, was a member of the St. Gregory’s Church Choir, a Life Member of the San Antonio Women’s Club and served 15 years on the Board of Directors of the San Antonio Gardenia Club. She especially enjoyed traveling the world with her husband of 64 years, Ray, whom she has deeply missed since his passing in 2013.

Jeannine died of heart failure after a brief hospital stay on Friday, January 8, 2021. The family is blessed that she was spared any suffering and that she transitioned peacefully with family members by her side.

Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. The day of her interment is the Anniversary Date of their wedding, February 5, 1949. They are truly spending eternity side by side, as was their wish.
