

He joined the National Guard after high school. Shortly thereafter he signed with the Army, where he trained as a Special Forces medic. He then studied to become a Physician Assistant, retiring from the military after 21 years of honorable service.
During the last five years, he worked as a P.A. for Health Texas Medical Group, where he was able to touch the lives of many. Jeff felt taking care of patients was his true gift from God.
He was a Deacon and devoted member of Churchill Baptist Church. His greatest joy was his children. He was their most enthusiastic supporter in all their endeavors. Jeff was an avid hunter, fisherman, and also enjoyed scuba diving with his wife. He was also an excellent chess player who liked a challenging game on his Iphone.
Jeff was preceded in death by his father and his son, Jason Scott Brasfield. Survivors include his wife of 19 years, Karen Brasfield; his two daughters, Victoria Maultsby and Megan Brasfield; his son, Blake Brasfield; his sister, Pam Brasfield; his brother, William Brasfield; his mother, Ruth Brasfield; and his in-laws, Daniel and Lueda Towery.
The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 P.M. on Monday, August 24, in the Reflection Room at Porter Loring North.
