

As a child, Jeff enjoyed scouting, band, orchestra, and many sports, especially hunting and fishing with his dad. He attended Hastings Public Schools, graduating in 1982. He attended South Dakota School of Mines for a year, then transferred to the University of Nebraska at Lincoln, where he earned a Bachelor's Degree. Later, he also completed an Associates Degree from Denver's Paralegal Community College. He did additional graduate studies at DePaul University in Chicago, Ill.
Jeff worked as a paralegal with Wells, Pinckney and McHugh Law Firm in San Antonio. Most recently, he served at the AT&T Center as Senior Director of technology for Spurs Sports and Entertainment.
Jeff cherished spending time with his beloved daughter Monica, fishing, golfing, attending Bronco games, and of course, cheering on his specially-loved team, the San Antonio Spurs. Everyone who knew Jeff loved him. He was known as a kind, gentle, sensitive soul who was willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.
Jeff was a person of deep faith and a member of St. Francis of Assisi Roman Catholic Church in San Antonio. He was preceded in death by a son, Joaquin Jose Dreesen, his father, Ronald Dreesen, and paternal and maternal grandparents, Otis and Caroline Dreesen and Ray and Marie Magorien.
Jeff is survived and sorely missed by his daughter, Monica Maria Dreesen, his mother, Joanne Dreesen, and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
The family will receive friends from 1:00-5:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 25, 2017, at Porter Loring Mortuary North. A Celebration of Life Service will be held Monday, June 26, 2:00 p.m., AT&T Center, One AT&T Center Parkway, San Antonio, TX. Interment will take place at a later date in Mission Hill Cemetery, Mission Hill, South Dakota. In lieu of flowers, please consider memorial contributions to St. Francis Assisi St. Vincent DePaul.
