Chief Warrant Officer Jerome J. Jerry Huff, U.S. Air Force Retired, age 79, of San Antonio, died Tuesday, January 8, 2002, at Air Force Village II in San Antonio. Mr. Huff retired from the U.S. Air Force as a chief warrant officer after 23 years of service. He then joined the Metropolitan Life Insurance Company, retiring after a career of 20 years. A native of Columbus, Ga., Mr. Huff enlisted in the Army Air Corps in 1939 following graduation from High School, was a member of the 9TH Air Force during World War II, serving in England, France and Germany. Later, Mr. Huff served as a member of a top-secret team assigned to install the Matador missile on the Island of Formosa and in South Korea. Survivors include his widow, Martha G. Huff of San Antonio; a brother, James Huff of Warren, MI.; sister, Betty Beady of Phoenix City, AL.; three sons, Jerry Huff Jr of Fort Smith, AR, John Stephen Huff of Milledgeville, GA. and Rodney Huff of San Antonio, TX; three daughters, Deborah Kreimborg of Dallas, Jennifer Huff and Kathy Marshall both of San Antonio, TX; 15 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
