On May 31, 1997 Jerry married the love of his life Sonia Hernandez and enjoyed many years of laughter, love, and travels. Jerry's life was further enriched by the arrival of his daughters, Bianca Rose Hernandez and Isabella Hernandez, who were the pride and joy of his life.
A proud graduate of South San High School, Jerry's thirst for knowledge and his passion for justice led him to the University of Texas at Austin, where he studied Government. His pursuit of higher education culminated in earning his J.D. from the California Western School of Law, setting the stage for a distinguished career in the legal field.
Professionally, Jerry was recognized as one of the top trial attorneys in Texas. His dedication to the law and his exceptional skill in the courtroom earned him the respect and admiration of his colleagues and the gratitude of the countless clients he represented. Jerry's contributions to the legal community were significant and his legacy in this arena will be long remembered.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Jerry was a man of many interests. He was a huge fan of UT football, the New York Giants, and the San Antonio Spurs. His love for sports was more than just a pastime; it was a way for him to spend time with his friends and daughter Bianca Rose.
Those who knew Jerry best would describe him as loving, courageous, and funny. His loving nature was evident in the way he cared for his family and friends, always putting their needs ahead of his own. Courageous in both his professional life and personal battles, Jerry faced challenges head-on with a determination that inspired those around him. And of course, Jerry's sense of humor was legendary—a gift that he generously shared, bringing laughter and lightness to even the most difficult situations.
