Jerry Hamil Roy

While attending Northwestern State University in Natchitoches, LA he met the love of his life and soulmate, Marie A. Hornot. He then attended Louisiana State University where he obtained his master’s degree. He retired from Travelers Group where he worked in management for more than 25 years.

Jerry was an avid golfer and was a past president of the Cosmopolitan Golf Association in San Antonio. He was an active member of St. Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church and volunteered in the Adult Literacy Program, Prisoners Outreach Program and ACTS. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family including his grandchildren and fur grand babies.

He was preceded in death by his parents. Jerry is survived by his loving wife of 65 plus years, Marie A. Roy; son, Douglas P. Roy, and his wife Kimberly M. Roy; daughter, Julie A. Ramirez and husband Emileo Ramirez. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Elizabeth L. Roy, David P. Roy, Emilie M. Ramirez and Gregorio E. Ramirez. Additionally, he is survived by a host of cherished friends.
