Jesse M. Cantu, born in Elmendorf, Texas, went to be with the Lord, October 21, 2013 at the age of 93. He was a 20 year veteran of the U.S. Air Force. Also, He was an avid pool player, having won several pool tournaments. He is preceded in death by his parents, Jesus and Alvina Cantu; brothers, Eugene M. Cantu, Manuel Cantu, Joe Cantu, Vincente Cantu, Carlos Cantu and sister, Helen M. Escobedo. Mr. Cantu is survived by his loving wife, Angelita F. Cantu and numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to give special thanks to the personnel at 7 VITAS innovative inpatient Unit and his caregiver Juanita Perez for all of their continued care and support. A visitation will begin Monday, October 28, 2013 at 5:00 p.m. at Trevino Funeral Home, 226 Cupples Rd. with a Rosary to be recited that same evening. A Funeral procession will depart the funeral home, Tuesday, October 29, 2013, at 9:00 a.m. for a 9:30 a.m. Mass to be celebrated at St. James Catholic Church with interment to follow in Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery at 11:00 a.m.
